The Shrine of Saint Maria Francesca of the Five Wounds is located in the “Spanish Quarters” of Naples, at Vico Tre Re a Toledo, 13.

On the second floor of this building, Saint Maria Francesca lived for 38 years of her life. In this house, we can still find the objects that belonged to her and her Chair.

On it, pilgrims from all over the world have the opportunity to receive a blessing and ask for a Grace.

Upon her death, on October 6, 1791, her body was buried in the Church of Santa Lucia al Monte in Naples, and in 2001 her relics were transferred to the shrine bearing her name, located in Vico Tre Re a Toledo, where she had lived.

She was beatified on November 12, 1843, by Pope Gregory XVI and canonized on June 29, 1867, by Pope Pius IX.

Saint Maria Francesca is the first Neapolitan Saint and Co-Patroness of Naples.

Since 2023, the Shrine of Saint Maria Francesca has been managed by the Franciscan Alcantarine Sisters.
